Why Should My Child Read at Home?
Reading with children is fun and one of the best ways to retain and improve reading skills. Children learn about the value and importance of reading as they watch their family reading and writing in everyday life.
Your child must read every night in order to become a more fluent reader. Helping your child become a better reader will ensure success in campus and state assessments.
Tips to Help Your Child Read at Home
-Provide a quiet environment.
-Provide good lighting.
-Provide comfortable seating or allow your child to lay down to read if preferable.
-Children should not be interrupted while they are reading.
-Have a set time for your child to read daily.
