Congratulations to Mia Aguilar, one of the 10 finalists in the 2026 Texas Cavaliers’ River Parade Art Contest. King Antonio CIII, Gardner Peavy, and the Texas Cavaliers recognized the RDLA 5th grader and fellow finalists during an unveiling event at the McNay Art Museum.
Mia’s outstanding artwork, “Fiesta Through the Decades,” will be featured on a special Fiesta-themed VIA bus—a true honor! Her design also earned $3,000 for RDLA. 🎨
👏 A big shoutout as well to 5th grader Valentina Oseguera‑Izarrararas, a runner-up, who earned $1,000 for our school.
💙 Special thanks to RDLA art teacher Elizabeth San Miguel for inspiring and nurturing the creativity of our young artists!
